Role as statutory consultee
Mid Deeside Community Council is a statutory consultee for planning applications within Aboyne, Kincardine O'Neil, Dinnet and Glen Tanar. This means that we are able to respond to the relevant planning authority (Aberdeenshire Council or the Cairngorms National Park Authority) with comments on planning applications which may have a potential impact on these communities. When deciding whether to respond to a planning application, we will assess whether the development proposals raise issues which are of importance to the community as a whole. Individuals with an interest in a planning application can also respond directly to the planning authority with their comments.
